This past weekend, the North Country Chordsmen and VoxStars brought our music to the historic Town Hall Theatre in Woodstock, Vermont, in our third annual show for Pentangle Arts.

The evening was a celebration of a cappella talent in the Upper Valley, featuring not only our two choruses but also the smooth stylings of our chapter quartet, Blue Streak, and the vibrant voices of guest ensemble the VTones. The program highlighted the richness and variety of vocal harmony, in barbershop and contemporary a cappella styles.

In true barbershop fashion, the audience didn’t just listen — they sang with us! With a quick intro from director, Dan Falcone everyone joined in learning the Mickey Mouse tag. And in a moving finale, the audience joined us for America the Beautiful with our musical overlay to sweeten it.

We are deeply grateful to Pentangle Arts for hosting us, and to our own Bill Corson for producing the show. A special thank you goes out to both Bill and Lauran Corson for graciously hosting the lively afterglow that followed, where songs and laughter continued into the evening.
